On the conference Global Summit on Power & Energy Engineering held on February 18-20 in Dubai Hrvoje Pandzic, Mateo Beus, Frederik Banis and Tomislav Capuder presented uGRIP project findings in special session on "Demonstration and Regulatory Framework for Distribution-Level Markets".
The following lectures took place:
-Hrvoje Pandzic (UNIZG-FER): Development of a Demonstration Smart Grid Laboratory
-Mateo Beus (UNIZG-FER): Application of model predictive control for the low-level control in microgrids
-Frederik Banis (DTU): Control hierarchy for the improved operation of microgrids with high shares of renewable energy sources
-Tomislav Capuder (UNIZG-FER): Key regulatory and market aspects for unlocking end-user flexibility
uGRIP project has been presented on ETIP SNET workshop which was held from 19. to 20. of September 2018. on Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb. Workshop participants have also visited laboratories at the Department of Energy and Power Systems.
Mateo Beus and Frederik Banis presented uGRIP at ERA-Net SES Family of Projects Event which was held from 17. to 19. of September 2018. at Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation IFF in Magdeburg.
As a part of project uGRIP (microGrid Positioning) a workshop on Demand Response and Energy Storage Modeling was held at FER Zagreb on June 19th, 2018.
The following lectures took place:
May 24 - May 25 the Knowledge Community Meeting and Co-Creation "Regional Value Chains" event took place in Malmo, Sweden. Frederik Banis from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) presented several aspects of the control efforts in the uGrip project: Combining Model Predictive Control (MPC) with Stochastic Programming (SP) approaches in order to improve the operational performance of lower/medium -voltage level sub-grids (Microgrids) with the goal to incorporate higher shares of renewable energy sources (RES) into the system.
On the conference Smart Grid Viewed from the Regional Cooperation Perspective held on 28.11.2017. in the European Parliament Hrvoje Pandzic presented project uGRIP to members of European Commission, including representatives of ITRE Committee (Committee on Industry, Research and Energy) and INEA Agency (Innovation and Networks Executive Agency).

On 5th October 2017 Tomislav Capuder gave a presentation 'Assessing distributed multi-energy system capability to provide power system services' on a 12th Conference on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems.
The third meeting of the ERA-NET SG+ project uGRIP was held in Bucharest on June 7, 2017. As a part of the meeting representatives of all collaborating research institutions held a presentation about progress report that has been made so far.
Energetika-net published an article on June 1, 2017 under the title "Projects that will induce development of the Croatian industry", presenting them from 29 May to 1 June 2017 through a Technical Opportunities Week (TOPweek) organized at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb. As a part of this event FER employees Ninoslav Holjevac and Vinko Lesic gave an overview of the research projects of two Departments ZVNE and ZARI, including uGRIP. In the issue of Jutarnji List on Sunday, 28 May 2017, Hrvoje Pandzic gave an interview "You can not work all your life in Croatia and be successful in science". On 11th May 2017 Hrvoje Pandzic gave a technical presentation on a workshop organized jointly by HO-CIRED and IEEE PES Croatia in which some of the results of the uGRIP project were presented. Presentation can be found in the deliverables section

As a part of the seminar 'Integration of Renewable Energy Sources', which held at Antunovic Hotel, Zagreb on April 13, 2017, Hrvoje Pandzic gave a presentation 'Distributed Sources of Flexibility in Electricity Markets' where he presented some findings of the uGRIP project. The second meeting of the ERA-NET SG+ project uGRIP was held at OFFIS Oldenburg on 15-16 February 2017.

The uGRIP project presentation was held at Croatian Power Utility premises on November 4, 2016. As a part of that presentation the concept of local electricity market on distribution level was introduced.
As a part of projects SIREN (Smart Integration of RENewables) and uGRIP (microGrid Positioning) a workshop on Mathematical Modeling in Power Systems was held at FER Zagreb on 28-29 June 2016.

A kick-off meeting of the ERA-Net project uGrip was held in Zagreb on 29 August - 2 September 2016 where main project outlines and goals were agreed on. The meeting was facilitated by assis. prof. H. Pandzic resulting in an agreement on main project outlines and goals. The meeting focused on defining and understanding the project goals and deliverables. As a part of the meeting representatives of all collaborating research institutions held a presentation about their institution.
